Why book these three separately

Madrid’s three big timed visits answer to three different rulebooks, so this route prices them as three tickets with one honest total, not one pass.

OptionOur verdict
Prado MuseumThe one non-refundable ticket here, with timed entry. Open Monday to Saturday until 8pm, so it fits whichever day is left.
Royal Palace of MadridA guided visit on a fixed departure. State events can close the interior, so the free-cancellation window matters.
Santiago Bernabéu tourA guided stadium and museum tour. Its route changes around home matches, so choose the date with care.

Which ticket to book first

The order follows what limits each date. The Bernabéu depends on the fixture list, the palace runs on fixed departures, and the Prado opens late enough to absorb a change.

  1. Bernabéu first: pick a day without a home match. Dressing rooms and benches close on match days and the day before.
  2. Royal Palace second: choose a departure that fits around your Bernabéu day. State events can close the interior, so keep the 24-hour cancellation window in mind.
  3. Prado last, on whichever day is left. It is the only non-refundable ticket, and the museum stays open until 8pm Monday to Saturday.
  4. Keep 25 December empty: the Prado, the palace and the stadium tour are all closed that day.

Good to know

  • Match dates are usually confirmed only two to three weeks ahead, so a Bernabéu day booked far in advance can meet a late fixture.
  • On match days the stadium tour runs only until five and a half hours before kickoff.
  • The palace adds closures for official events on top of its published closed days.

Booking each ticket

The palace and Bernabéu tickets are English-language guided tours, and both can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24 hours ahead. The Prado ticket is a timed entry with an audio guide for your own phone, and it cannot be refunded.

Good to know

  • Palace and Bernabéu tickets: full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the start.
  • Prado ticket: all sales are final, so book it once the other two dates are fixed.
  • The Bernabéu route includes numerous staircases, so leave luggage at your hotel.

Questions people ask

Can I book the Prado, the Royal Palace and the Bernabéu as one ticket?

No. Each has its own reviewed ticket, bought and confirmed on its own. The total here is the sum of three starting prices, not a pass or a bundled checkout.

Which ticket should I book first?

The Bernabéu. Its tour changes around home matches, so the date needs the most care. Then the Royal Palace, and the Prado last.

Which of these tickets can I cancel?

The Royal Palace and Bernabéu tickets can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24 hours before the start. The Prado ticket is non-refundable.

What changes at the Bernabéu on a match day?

The tour runs only until five and a half hours before kickoff. The dressing rooms and benches are closed on match days and the day before, and the route can vary with events.

Can the Royal Palace close on the day I have booked?

Yes. Besides its published closed days it can close for official events, so a ticket that stays free to cancel until 24 hours ahead is the safer choice.

Is any of these open on Christmas Day?

No. The Prado, the Royal Palace and the Bernabéu tour are all closed on 25 December.
