Kyoto in One Day: Free Route or ¥6,000 Guided Walk? | Mubboo Tours & Tickets
Follow Kiyomizu-dera, Higashiyama and Gion on foot, take a stopping Keihan train to free Fushimi Inari, then return for the evening. A Gion–Higashiyama guided walk is optional at about ¥6,000 per adult; temple admission, train fares and meals cost extra. Check live tour prices before booking.

Why book these three separately
One samurai-era day: the shogun’s castle, a hands-on museum and a film-set village. Each follows its own rules, so this page prices three tickets with one honest total, not a pass.
| Option | Our verdict |
|---|---|
| Nijo Castle guided tour | An English-language tour of about 90 minutes with admission included. Sold as a tour, since no bare entry ticket is on sale. |
| Samurai Ninja Museum | A timed guided session of about 60 minutes with a ninja star throw, near Nishiki Market. The museum runs tours daily. |
| Uzumasa Kyoto Village | A film-set theme park many sellers still list as Toei Kyoto Studio Park. Day admission only, so charged attractions cost extra. |
The order that fits one day
The castle tour has fixed start times, so it sets the day. The village usually stays open into the evening and takes whatever is left.
- 10:00: meet the castle guide outside Exit 1 of Nijojo-mae Station, one stop past Karasuma Oike on the Tozai Line.
- About 11:30: the tour ends. Head east for lunch around Nishiki Market; the museum is a four-minute walk from the market arcade.
- Take an afternoon museum slot. The session lasts about 60 minutes, and tours run daily until early evening.
- Then ride the Tozai Line west to Uzumasa Tenjingawa and change to the Randen tram for Uzumasa-Koryuji Station.
- The village main gate is five minutes from Uzumasa-Koryuji Station. Its station-side gate admits visitors only until 5pm.
Good to know
- Skip Tuesdays: the village is closed on most, and the palace shuts on Tuesdays in January, July, August and December.
- The village lists its hours by date, and admission stops 60 minutes before closing.

Questions people ask
Can I book Nijo Castle, the samurai museum and the film village as one ticket?
No. Each has its own reviewed ticket, bought and confirmed on its own. The total here is the sum of three starting prices, not a pass or a bundled checkout.
Which ticket should I book first?
The Nijo Castle tour, because its start times are fixed and the palace has closed days. Then the museum slot, which runs on timed starts. The village ticket comes last.
Is Toei Kyoto Studio Park the same place as Uzumasa Kyoto Village?
Yes. The park is listed under both names, and many sellers, including our ticket, still use the older Toei name.
Which days should I avoid?
Tuesdays: the village is closed on most of them, and the Nijo Castle palace is shut on Tuesdays in January, July, August and December. The museum runs tours daily.
Can I cancel any of these tickets?
Yes. The castle tour, the museum ticket and the village ticket can each be cancelled for a full refund at least 24 hours before the start.
How long does the museum visit take?
About 60 minutes for the guided session. The museum is near Nishiki Market, so lunch there fits between the castle and the museum.
